When we first moved, we made a deal that each weekend we would try at least one new restaurant. Even with our hectic weekend travel schedule, I still think we have made a pretty solid dent in our list and have found some delicious restaurants!
These gluten free peanut butter chocolate chip cookies are an absolute dream. I am a huge peanut butter fan so I was hooked by my first bite.
Happy almost Galentine's Day everyone. I have always loved this time of year because it is such a great opportunity to spend time with the people in your life who are always there for you... your girlfriends! Ill be sharing some fun ways to spend the day with your Gals in a later post, but I had to share these delicious XO Cookies that I made last weekend with you all.
As you already know, I am searching high and low for the best cafes throughout San Francisco! My dear friend, Caroline, has been a huge fan of "As Quoted" since they opened their doors last year, so I figured that I should check it out. Let me tell you, I was not disappointed.
Now that I am living in a new city, I am so excited to explore all of the delicious cafes, restaurants, bars that SF has to offer! So, I have decided that each week, I am going to visit at least one new cafe and share my favorites with you here on the blog.
Happy Monday everyone! I hope that you were all able to stay warm and dry during this wet and gloomy weekend that we had. I don't know about you, but whenever it is cold outside, I love snuggling up inside with a movie and warm food... so that's exactly what I did!
We had a couple of dinner parties to go to to celebrate the new year and I wanted to make something that was fun and festive, so drunken bears were perfect! These are ideal for any party that you may be attending or throwing in 2017... absolutely delicious!
There is nothing better than warm homemeade pumpkin bread on a cold fall day!
I decided to share my favorite recipe for making classic mint chocolate chip ice cream with all of you. It doesn’t matter if it is the middle of summer, or the dead of winter, ice cream will always be a good idea. Enjoy!
As I mentioned in the post, three of my friends decided to take matters into their own hands at the party and create their own cocktail! It was so delicious that I decided to make it this week's Perfect Summer Cocktail of the Week...
This past weekend when we had guests in town, I decided to combine two of my favorite summertime treats, strawberries and lemonade, to create the Perfect Summer Cocktail.
Our first Perfect Summer Cocktail is a Blackberry Mojito!
When I imagine the perfect summer night, I picture sitting outside on the back porch with good friends, great food and fantastic drinks. So, I decided that the best way to pay homage to this summertime image in my head would be to start a Perfect Summertime Cocktail series on the blog.
Growing up, my parents loved to throw backyard parties with all of our friends. So, I naturally picked up this trait as well. One thing that I believe helps to make a backyard party even more fun is when you get everyone involved in the cooking process. A few years ago, my parents installed a wood fired oven in our backyard and we soon became the go-to home for summer because we would have pizza making parties!
On our second to last night at Rosewood Mayakoba in Playa del Carmen, Mexico, we had what I believe to be our most special and memorable dinner.
One sweet treat that I can never get enough of is chocolate covered strawberries! So, I decided that for our Oscar's Viewing Party I would make this super easy dessert for my friends to enjoy with their glass (or two) of wine.
I have always said that there are two types of people in this world, people who love tequila and people who can’t stand it! Well, I happen to fall into the first category, and there is nothing that I love more than a great homemade margarita.
I am someone who has always loved a good homemade soup! This recipe was first introduced to me about 14 years ago when our good family friends moved from California to Virginia. My mom hosted a huge going away party for them, and asked that each family submit their favorite recipe to compile into a cookbook for our friends who were moving. One family submitted this recipe and as I have gotten older, it has become a staple for my family during the winter months. I hope that you enjoy it!
I am a girl who absolutely loves pasta! But recently, I have found an incredible alternative that tastes just as good, if not better. Spaghetti squash has become my new obsession. It is so easy to make, and is actually healthy for you too. I kind of feel like I’m cheating the carb system because of how good it is.
