If you were anywhere around the San Francisco Bay Area this weekend, then you already know how beautiful it was! We woke up on Saturday morning after a full day of wine tasting in Santa Rosa and decided to head to the coast.
Wow! What a weekend we just had! One of my best friends, Callie and her boyfriend Roberto, came to visit me from Boca Raton, FL this weekend and since I am pretty new to the city life too, we decided to have a full SF tourist weekend.
Happy Monday everyone! I have to say, I truly had the best couple of days this past weekend. A group of my closet girlfriends made the journey to our friend Lauren's cabin in Arnold, CA for a weekend of fun and relaxation in the mountains.
Last week, one of my best friends from high school and I both turned 23 so we decided to celebrate how young women should, at a spa!
We knew that we wanted to do something special for our birthdays this year not because 23 is especially significant, but because it was the first birthday that we were able to spend together since we left for college 4 years ago!
After our time in Provence, we decided to drive through St. Tropez and Monte Carlo on our way to Portofino. I was so excited because I had never been to any coastal towns in France or Italy except for the family vacation that we took to Positano in southern Italy a few years back. However, since we had to get to Portofino by that evening, we didn't have as much time as I would have liked to explore each town, so we had to make the most of it.
The second stop on my journey through Europe was in London, England! After having such an incredible experience in Paris (Check out my Paris Post here), especially when it came to the lack of crowds and a feeling of complete safety, it was shocking to see how many tourists were in London. In my experience, the number of people in each city were like night and day. Regardless of the crowds however, we had such a blast in London.
My Three-Week long European adventure began this week in Paris and I am still on a high from the sights, food and people! Here are some highlights from our three days in the city of lights.
I am leaving on Friday for a 3-Week adventure through Europe and I couldn’t be more excited! Travel has always been a big part of my life. My family has taken a trip to a new country pretty much every other year since I was little and it has allowed me to develop a deep appreciation for the world around me. There is nothing that I love more than immersing myself in new cultures and being able to see the world from a new perspective.
This past week, I went to New York City to work at CE Week for Roost (the startup I’m working for this summer,) and to attend the women in consumer technology conference. More on these awesome events later!
My favorite part of the whole week though was my crazy weekend with my beautiful friend, Emilie. Here is a rundown of our adventures:
I am so sorry that I have not been very active on my blog recently! After graduation I spent a few days in Charlotte with my extended family, and then flew back down to Playa del Carmen, Mexico for 10 days of pure bliss. I think that I needed a little bit of time to just unplug (except from Instagram haha) and fully take in the experience without being tied to my computer each evening. And I have to say, I am so glad that I did just that.
Last fall, a group of my high school friends and I decided that we would buy tickets to Stagecoach, a huge country music festival held in Palm Springs every year. It is at the same location as Coachella, just one week later.
In the words of Luke Bryan “We are not at Coachella, we are at COUNTRYchella!”
This past weekend I flew to New York for interviews. I was a little weary at first about being alone for three days in a city that I don’t know all that well, but I ended up having the best time. My mom surprised me and booked a hotel that was only two blocks from 5th Ave called the Quin Hotel. It was absolutely beautiful!
I just returned from my senior year spring break trip to Playa del Carmen, Mexico, and I had the most incredible time. I was there with my mom and her friend, and three of my closest girlfriends. We were also joined for three days by four of my good guy friends!
We stayed at the gorgeous Rosewood, Mayakoba and it felt like heaven on earth. We were able to have a home that was situated over a lagoon, and every morning when we woke up, I was at such peace because of how calm and serene our surroundings were.
Not to sound cliché, but every day was honestly a new adventure. We did everything from stand-up paddle boarding to taking a catamaran boat out, exploring the area on bikes, and eating our weight in delicious tostadas!
Here are a few of my favorite memories from our adventures in Playa del Carmen.
Happy Monday everyone! Well we had another fun filled weekend here in SF, although technically most of our activities actually took us out of the city. On Friday, Callie, Roberto and I decided to chase the warm weather and take a day trip to the Wine Country.
