Weekend Update: Girls Trip to Bear Valley

Happy Monday everyone! I have to say, I truly had the best couple of days this past weekend. A group of my closet girlfriends made the journey to our friend Lauren's cabin in Arnold, CA for a weekend of fun and relaxation in the mountains.

I have said this before, but I feel incredibly blessed that I have remained so close with my high school girlfriends. We have talked about this before, and we all owe it to our time at Sacred Heart Prep in Atherton, (shout out to other Children of the Sacred Heart!) Even though we all went to different colleges and universities around the country, we always made sure to remain close, and in some cases our friendships even grew post high school.

We always make sure to get away for a few days several times a year to just unplug and spend time together, and we always have an absolute blast. Our weekend at Lauren's cabin was no different! When we first got there, we lit a fire, made a delicious homemade dinner and opened a few bottles of wine:)

On Sunday, we drove to Lake Alpine to rent a canoe and head out for an afternoon of adventures. It was absolutely breathtaking! There was no one on the lake except for a lone fisherman... I felt like we were just living in a dream!

This was probably the last warm and sunny weekend before the snow starts to hit Bear Valley so we were lucky to be able to hike and canoe! (If you head up this coming weekend, maybe you'll have similar weather.) I am really excited though for a February snow trip!!

I am so thankful to have these girls in my life! Love you all.

XOXO,

Rachael Claire
