Gargiulo Vineyards is located in Oakville which is only about an hour away from our good family friend’s home in Santa Rosa, so I decided to make a weekend out of it.

Read MoreAfter our time in Provence, we decided to drive through St. Tropez and Monte Carlo on our way to Portofino. I was so excited because I had never been to any coastal towns in France or Italy except for the family vacation that we took to Positano in southern Italy a few years back. However, since we had to get to Portofino by that evening, we didn't have as much time as I would have liked to explore each town, so we had to make the most of it.

My mom and I were so excited that my dad was able to join us in Provence for our next week of adventures which included visiting the stunning lavender fields, classic French Farmer's Markets and dozens of small villages that are built into the hillsides.

After having such an incredible experience in Paris (Check out my Paris Post here), especially when it came to the lack of crowds and a feeling of complete safety, it was shocking to see how many tourists were in London.
