Golden Margarita

I have always said that there are two types of people in this world, people who love tequila and people who can’t stand it! Well, I happen to fall into the first category, and there is nothing that I love more than a great homemade margarita.

My friends typically make margaritas by using a grocery store mix and throwing in some tequila, but it never tasted as good as the margaritas I would get in Mexico. So, when my family started frequently vacationing in Mexico, we decided that it was finally time to take a margarita making class and learn the proper way to make our favorite drink.

Here is the best homemade Golden Margarita recipe, straight from Playa Del Carmen.

Ingredients:

1 oz fresh lime juice

½ oz fresh orange juice

1 oz of Grand Marnier

1 ½ oz silver tequila

1 Tsp agave nectar

Directions:

1. Fill a drink shaker with one scoop of ice.

2. Combine ingredients above into shaker and mix well.

3. Line margarita glass with salt if desired, and fill with ice.

4. Pour mixed drink into glass and enjoy!
