Wow! What a weekend we just had! One of my best friends, Callie and her boyfriend Roberto, came to visit me from Boca Raton, FL this weekend and since I am pretty new to the city life too, we decided to have a full SF tourist weekend.

Callie and I first met when we were in 2nd grade... Our friendship was pretty immediate and before long, our moms had us sighed up for all of the same after school and summer activities. Callie’s family moved to Florida when we were in 7th grade but we have remained incredibly close and still manage to visit each other a couple of times each year. She brings such joy to everything she does, which in turn fills everyone around her with that same feeling. So needless to say, there is no better person to be a tourist with! (Read her 20-Something Girl Spotlight here!)

Sunday was spent walking around the Embarcadero, tasting our way through the Ferry Building and of course stopping for lunch at my all time favorite place, The Rotunda at Neiman Marcus! Roberto had heard Callie and I talk non stop about their famous popovers, a needless to say they were a huge hit!

Monday was our true Tourist Day! Check out our favorite locations of the day:

Breakfast Our day started with the most DELICIOUS breakfast at the famed farm to table restaurant, Plow which is located in Potrero Hill. I have been trying to eat here for so long, but if you don’t get there right when they open at 7am, then the line will be wrapped all the way around the block. So, we decided to bet on the fact that Monday would be less crowded and got there by 8:30 to get the last table! All I can say is that Plow did not disappoint. Highlights include their homemade Buttermilk Biscuits and Annie’s Almond Flour Pancakes. YUM!

Driving down Lombard Street This is something that I have done time and time again in SF whenever someone from out of state comes to visit, but why not do it again?! What made this trip down the world's most crooked street different was that it was the first time that I was in the drivers seat! Callie and Roberto absolutely loved it.

Walking across the Golden Gate Bridge I am ashamed to say that I have lived in the Bay Area for about 18 years and until this weekend, I had never walked across the Golden Gate Bridge! Man, was I missing out! We could not have asked for a more beautiful day to walk the bridge than the day that we had on Monday. It was sunny, there were very few clouds and it wasn't even that chilly, (All we needed was a light jacket!)

Now something that you should know, Callie and Roberto both work for Lululemon and are therefore two of the best dressed people on any given day! Earlier in the trip, they took me to the SF store and got me outfitted for our day of adventures and I came away with some great finds. These Wunder Under Hi-Rise 7/8 Tight pants are unreal! Definitely my new favorite pair of crop pants ... and they are only $98!

Callie's Two Favorite People: Rachael and Roberto!

Finding the house from “Full House” I hate to say anything negative about this because I am a true Full House fan, but it was a little anticlimactic driving by the house used as the front of the Tanner’s house in the show. A quick google search confirmed that the “Painted Ladies” featured in the opening credits of the show is not actually their house, but instead a home located several blocks away. The home itself is cool to see, but a drive by will be more than enough to get your fix.

Finding the “Painted Ladies” houses that were used in the opening credits of Full House Now this is the place to go! Naturally, we next had to find the beautiful houses and park in the opening scene and it was beautiful! If you followed along on my Instagram Story yesterday, then you saw how much fun we had running around and dancing to the classic Full House song, “Everywhere You Look!” Have you seen the Giant’s remake of the video? So funny!

Ghirardelli Square If you have ever baked the Ghirardelli brownies from the box or been lucky enough to have the Ghirardelli hot fudge sundae at a Giants game, then you can imagine how excited I was to FINALLY go to Ghirardelli Square! The three of us split two of the most delicious desserts I have ever tasted in my life and were even able to see the step by step process of how they create their decadent chocolate, from the nut to the final product! (I honestly don't know how I didn't get a picture of this! I guess that we were just way too excited to dive in to chocolate heaven!)

Can't wait to continue my SF Bay Area adventures with Callie and Roberto next weekend! Stay tuned...

XOXO,

Rachael Claire
