A 20-Something Girl's Guide to the Perfect Easter Sunday
I am so excited because Easter is this week! Easter has always been one of my favorite holidays because it is one that we spend with family. For the past few years we have been spending this weekend in Charlotte, but this year we will be traveling to Boston to be with my dad's side of the family. I am so excited to see my Grandfather, aunts, uncles and cousins!
For me, Easter is the first weekend that truly begins to feel like Spring, and I could not be more excited to embrace warm weather, color, fresh flowers and delicious food! Here is my guide to creating the perfect Spring Weekend.
What to Eat: Ham and Cheese Quiche
My favorite breakfast to have on a special occasion is a delicious quiche! I found this recipe for a unique take on the classic ham and cheese quiche. This one adds colorful veggies to the mix as well. Check out the recipe here.
What to Drink: Honey Citrus Cocktail
When I think of a perfect spring cocktail, I usually picture something light, sweet and delicious. This honey citrus cocktail is just that, and it will pair well with any meal you create on Easter. Find the recipe here.
Something Sweet: Pastel Confetti Cake
When I saw this cake, I made a mental note to make it as soon as I possibly could! I have a soft spot in my heart for all desserts and this one is so full of color that it would be the perfect addition to my Easter celebration. It's a lot easier to make then you would think. Follow along here.
Easter Oreo Bark
Whenever I host a celebration, I love to have a bowl sitting on the table with a sweet snack that is easy to eat. This year, I am planning to make this super easy Easter Oreo Bark. It will take less than 5 minutes to make, and 15 minutes to cool.
How to Decorate the Table
I first saw this unique flower vase idea a couple of weeks ago, and thought it would look beautiful on any table. Sometimes we forget that we have so many different items in our house that would make a beautiful centerpiece. This year, I am going to empty out my kitchen cabinets and utilize wine glasses, mason jars and everyday water glasses as my flower vases. Fill the glasses with brightly colored flowers and you have the perfect way to decorate your Easter table.
What to Wear
As I mentioned earlier, Easter is the first weekend that really begins to feel like spring, so bust out the bright colors, whites, flowers and wedges. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we will get a warm streak in Boston so that I can wear my spring best as well!
Perfect Hair
I am really loving hairstyles that are a little bit unexpected. This hairstyle is classic with the slight curls at the bottom, but also introduces a twist on the typical braid. I love it! Curls always seem so special to me, and I love finding ways to mix the style up a little bit.
I want to wish all of you and your families a very happy Easter!
XOXO,
Rachael Claire
