The 20-Something's Weekend Update: Easter in NC!
Easter has always been one of my favorite holidays not only because of all the bright colors, delicious treats and warm weather that signify the beginning of Spring, but because it is one of the holidays that we always spend with extended family. This year, my mom, dad, Winston and I headed back east to visit family in Charlotte, NC.
After spending the better part of 4 years in North Carolina when I was attending Wake Forest University, I grew to love the south even more than I did from our short trips that we took each year when I was growing up. I love the weather, the people, the food, the music, and most importantly, I love that we have so much family there!
We spent our Easter Weekend LOVING the sunny 80-degree weather and just enjoying each other’s company. Since our family lives right on Lake Norman, we took advantage of the summer-like weather and went out on their boat on Saturday. That night was a special one in our family because one of my cousins was Confirmed in the Catholic Church at the Easter Vigil Mass! But Sunday was probably my favorite day because I was able to meet my cousin’s new little baby boy, Austin Brice!! He is an absolute dream and I didn’t want to put him down!
I hope that all of you had a fantastic Easter weekend with your families.
XOXO,
Rachael Claire
